Chicago!
Wow, wasn’t expecting that. Each year Priceline ($PCLN) puts out their top 50 list of destinations for the Labor Day weekend. They’re based on actual hotel bookings their customers make. Here’s the first 20 from their site:
| #1 | Chicago, North Michigan Avenue/River North Area |
| #2 | New York City, Midtown West |
| #3 | Las Vegas, Strip North Area |
| #4 | San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf |
| #5 | New York City, Upper East Side |
| #6 | Seattle, Downtown/Pike Place |
| #7 | Chicago, Millennium Park/Loop & Grant Park |
| #8 | Seattle, Seattle Center/Space Needle |
| #9 | New York City, Times Square/Theater District |
| #10 | Las Vegas, Strip Vicinity South |
| #11 | Niagara Falls, St. Catharines |
| #12 | New Orleans, French Quarter |
| #13 | Oahu, Waikiki Beach Area |
| #14 | Chicago, Greater Chicago Area |
| #15 | Atlantic City, Atlantic City/Cape May |
| #16 | Boston, Waterfront, Convention Center |
| #17 | New York City, Midtown East |
| #18 | Niagara Falls, Buffalo |
| #19 | Montreal, City Centre |
| #20 | Seattle, Airport Area |
Chicago actually has 3 locales in the top 14….impressive. Never been there, but now my curiosity is piqued.
You can check out the rest of the list here. Funny, I don’t see any Euro cities…
