Chicago!

Wow, wasn’t expecting that. Each year Priceline ($PCLN) puts out their top 50 list of destinations for the Labor Day weekend. They’re based on actual hotel bookings their customers make.  Here’s the first 20 from their site:

#1 Chicago, North Michigan Avenue/River North Area
#2 New York City, Midtown West
#3 Las Vegas, Strip North Area
#4 San Francisco, Fisherman’s Wharf
#5 New York City, Upper East Side
#6 Seattle, Downtown/Pike Place
#7 Chicago, Millennium Park/Loop & Grant Park
#8 Seattle, Seattle Center/Space Needle
#9 New York City, Times Square/Theater District
#10  Las Vegas, Strip Vicinity South
#11  Niagara Falls, St. Catharines
#12  New Orleans, French Quarter
#13  Oahu, Waikiki Beach Area
#14  Chicago, Greater Chicago Area
#15  Atlantic City, Atlantic City/Cape May
#16  Boston, Waterfront, Convention Center
#17  New York City, Midtown East
#18  Niagara Falls, Buffalo
#19  Montreal, City Centre
#20  Seattle, Airport Area

Chicago actually has 3 locales in the top 14….impressive. Never been there, but now my curiosity is piqued.

You can check out the rest of the list here. Funny, I don’t see any Euro cities…
